There ARE Jobs Out There

Recently, I wrote about knowing what you are worth and taking back control. In more empowering news, I want to say that there are jobs out there. A recent conference call reminded me that I, too, often fall into the "there's no jobs mentality" that's pervasive. The truth is that – in some areas –  there are jobs but not enough qualified people to fill them. A couple of thing that were reinforced on that call…

1) Many regions of the country can't find skilled people to fill jobs. If you've ever considered a move, now is the time to revisit that possibility.

2) Tech skills reign supreme. If you are considering retraining, look into tech. One of the top complaints of companies is a lack of qualified technology candidates.
