Tandem's Tips - Your Unique Strengths and Abilities
Kent R.
From the archives - common questions worth re-addressing. Q: Right now, I am not sure I have the time / money for Career Development work. What’s something I can do on my own to start feeling as though I am taking positive action?
A: If you do nothing else, take steps to fill your days with more of what energizes you and less of what depletes you.
Start by taking a look at the makeup of your days.
-How much time is filled with activities that don’t seem like work at all?
-What activities energize you?
After you’ve taken some time to examine this, clear patterns will begin to emerge. Many people find it helpful to then jot down notes that speak to 1) what they want to be doing more of and 2) what they want to be doing less of in a typical day/week/month.
Use this information as a springboard for future steps you can take.
