Stop Hating Mondays

Some exciting news! We’re happy to introduce our new guidebook: Stop Hating Mondays.
Stop Hating Mondays is completely free and dedicated to everyone who has decided to do the transformative work of building a more fulfilling life.
You only have one life and it’s relatively short; why be miserable?
Some background…
Everyone has Mondays. For those still working a traditional work week, it may literally be Monday. That day when Sunday, which you barely enjoyed because you knew it was going to be over soon (and you never really stopped working anyway), turns into the start of another series of unfulfilling tasks and pressures.
But Mondays represent more than just a dreaded first day of many people’s work week. Monday can be any unfulfilling aspect of your life. A toxic relationship. A situation you feel stuck in. The inability to see something better for yourself.
Monday can even be the common problem of being stretched way too thin. Prior to the pandemic, 75% of all employees in the US worked more than 40 hours per week, so there’s a very good chance you either have (or had) that problem.
We know what it feels like to hate Mondays. We’ve had oppressive jobs that we over-identified with and dreaded. We’ve struggled with and combated Workism: the twisted notion that your value is tied to employment and that work can serve as the primary (if not sole) source of meaning in one’s life. We also have had rewarding, fulfilling jobs that were so demanding that other aspects of our life suffered.
As the founders of The Change Laboratory and Change Consultants who work with individuals and corporations, we’ve built a reputation for practicing what we preach. The framework for fulfillment outlined in Stop Hating Mondays is not theory. It has been tested and refined for over a decade.
In short, this book is a tested framework for eliminating Mondays.
With a mission to increase the number of fulfilled people in the world, we developed Stop Hating Mondays to be:
Fully Inclusive: We wrote this book so that any person – regardless of who they are, what their circumstances are, or where they are on their journey – can put the tools in this book to work in their life right now.
Reality Based: We’ve taken all of the wisdom we’ve gained in the 10+ years we’ve spent as Change Consultants working with organizations and individuals, as well as our personal work deliberately building a life free of Mondays, to provide tools and insights that have been tested in the real world.
Relatable: Big concepts tend to feel theoretical and high level, even though they are constantly playing out in our lives. So we provide examples to show how these ideas actually play out in people’s lives.
The tools and ideas presented in Stop Hating Mondays are not meant to be comprehensive. Each person’s needs are unique, everybody’s experience is singular, and few journeys are linear. However, it does help to have a clear path to follow.
We think Stop Hating Mondays is that path. And we’re excited to make it openly available to anyone who feels like they may benefit from it.
