Tracking Achievements
Kent R.
Q: What's a good way to keep track of all of my achievements?
A: I recommend that people start a "win" file. It's a place where you keep performance evaluations, copies of e-mails that contain positive feedback, etc. This file is also a good place for you to keep notes for yourself. Use it to document noteworthy things that you've done, projects you've completed - all of those things that may not be recognized in another way (like on a performance review where people tend to think, "I know I did more than what I see here..."). Be specific, make sure to add any metrics (i.e. increased revenue, reduced costs, etc.). Once you get your win file started, it's a fairly easy habit to want to maintain because it's about everything that's going well in your life.
