Tandem Empowers: Check Out CARE

It's been a few months since I've written about Tandem's current "Charity of Choice" - CARE International. If you’ve clicked around this website a bit, you know that Tandem is committed to giving back via our Tandem Empowers initiatives. We enjoy donating services to ambitious yet disadvantaged individuals who are struggling to find meaningful work, and we make donations to humanitarian organizations that believe in the potential of people around the world. CARE’s primary goal is: “Defending dignity. Fighting poverty.” From CARE’s Vision Statement:
We seek a world of hope, tolerance and social justice, where poverty has been overcome and people live in dignity and security.
Last month, I spent time in Washington D.C. learning more about CARE and advocating on Capitol Hill for the incredible work that they do to make the world a better place for all. This is the second time that I've had the opportunity to do this, and I continue to stand in awe of their leadership in the humanitarian arena.
