Objective Statements vs. Branding Statements
Kent R.
Over the next several weeks, I’ll be responding to frequently asked questions that have not been addressed here on the blog recently.
Q: What’s all this talk about my “personal brand?”
A: Recruiters and hiring managers want to see “what you’re all about” and what you can offer in a succinct fashion. You can best brand yourself by stating what you do and what you can bring to the company in just a sentence or two. These types of statements – commonly referred to as Branding Statements – are often seen at the top of resumes. Objective Statements are quickly turning into a thing of the past.
