Do You Dread Sunday Evenings?
Kent R.
Lately, I've been participating in a forum on which responders are talking about loving Friday evening and dreading Sunday evening, which signals the work week ahead. I hear from far too many people who have no passion for what they do. People who – day after day and year after year – slog through a series of unfulfilling jobs that mean nothing to them.
Does that sound like you? If so, today is the day to start fresh. Today can be the day that you make the decision to pursue fulfilling work. It starts with making the commitment to take positive steps forward, however small.
It doesn't matter what you've been doing or what you're good at. This leap towards fulfillment is about doing what you want to be doing.
Many people get swept away early on in their careers; they get promoted and move up the ladder because they are good at something. For many people, this is fine. For many others, though, there’s a nagging feeling that won’t go away. A feeling of discontent, urging them to examine other avenues.
Make today the day you decide to pursue professional development. You can find more information here.
Live from a place of commitment – not comfort or fear.
